Leisure Travel Vans

Our products are recognized as some of the finest in the industry. The next generation of our company is driven by innovation while remaining committed to our long-standing history of quality craftsmanship. In 2010, the RV division completed its consolidation of Triple E RV and Leisure Travel Vans into one operation.

With a dedicated and loyal staff that is proud to provide only quality components that will meet or exceed their customers expectations. They are driven for excellence and committed to going beyond the norm to bring you the best Class B for years of travel enjoyment. Leisure Travel Vans has been producing Class B Motorhomes for over 50 years, and Leisure Travel is one of the first North American RV manufacturers to build a Class B Motorhome on the Sprinter chassis.

That same year, Enns enlisted his two son-in-laws, Peter Elias and Phil Enns and together they manufactured their first travel trailer under their newly incorporated brand, Triple E. The company was a nod to all of their last names. The new interior package features Italian-designed, matte-finish upper cabinet doors with soft-close technology, while its scratch resistant, anti-fingerprint and anti-bacterial surface combines clever design with functionality. And with white Corian® countertops, indirect LED lighting and a choice of three solid-wood cabinet options, quality European style and modern luxury combine to meet you on the road ahead.

An accidental, uncontrollable fire tore through Triple E’s factory, destroying the entire operation and claiming the life of the general manager of the motorhome division, Henry Schellenberg. It has been said that you don’t know where you’re going if you don’t know where you’ve been. For Triple E Recreational Vehicles, our journey started more than 50 years ago with a small 13 foot travel trailer. The all-new Dometic IoT Solution allows users to control and monitor their RV’s components with the touch of their finger. View multiple functions at the same time via the flexibility of Dometic’s modular screen design. RVers can even customize comfort controls as well as set scenes that can run multiple tasks at once.

Mike Elias, the company’s Director of Marketing tells me, “In recent years, we have started to see a few Leisure Travel Vans being sold to younger professionals that are able to work remotely. Personally, I think that we are going to see more and more of this in the future since our products make ideal mobile offices”. My husband is celebrating as well since he’s finally “pulled me over to the dark side”.

2020 Unity By Leisure Travel Vans Debuts At Rvx

Both the Sprinter Unity and the Transit Wonder models have some 11,000-pound gross vehicle weight rating. Our Wonder is less because of the extra 500 pounds of storage that can be loaded in the rear garage of the Wonder twin bed model. Leisure launched the Sprinter rear lounge Unity motorhome last year, and it immediately struck us as a very impressive combination of day/night space. The addition of the rear lounge as the latest Ford Transit Wonder floor plan pulls the price of an LTV rear lounge motorhome down by nearly US$13,000 as compared to the Unity. The Leisure Travel Unity 24MB is among the most popular vehicles on the market. With the innovative Murphy bed, the Leisure Travel delivers a compact motorhome with a large bathroom and full size bed.

Features such as advanced driver-assist technology, auto start-stop, and electric power-assisted steering make driving the Wonder a pleasure. The new Ford Transit also includes many notable safety features, including Forward Collision Warning, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Post-Collison Braking, Lane-Keeping System, Side Wind Stabilization, and much more. First, let me say we’ve had six RVs – including a Unity model – built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 Cab Chassis. They are rugged, reliable, and make an excellent van or chassis to be outfitted and used as an RV.

Product diversification has played a major role in Triple E’s growth and success. In 1980, Lode King Industries was established to produce commercial highway trailers for the transportation industry. This diversity not only ensures a fiscally strong company, but also one of continual vision, employing the benefit of trading expertise between divisions. In 1989, inventory began to increase as the company started to feel the effects of the North American Free Trade Agreement .

Leisure Travel Van’s Unity is a compact luxury Class C RV that comes in six innovative floor plans. Options include a walk-around island bed, twin beds, corner bed, rear lounge, an innovative Murphy bed or two flexible living spaces ¬ all with ample storage in a unit that’s under 25’, 7’11” wide and 10’6” high. While all of these options have upsides they also have major compromises like terrible fuel economy , living without a full bathroom , or having to buy an expensive diesel pick-up truck just to tow your “house” around. From a mobility standpoint a lot of the mobile real estate options also aren’t that mobile at all. Large RVs can’t drive down a switchback mountain road nor can you park them in cities like Manhattan or San Francisco without a special permit. And while the vintage bus renovation from the chassis up sounded like a fun project, renovations can get complicated and the unknown costs can spiral quickly out of control.

The Wonder’s stylish interior is matched by its sleek exterior featuring contoured sidewalls, a fiberglass flex roof, and aerodynamic, integrated front and rear fiberglass caps. As mentioned above where we talked about AWD, the transit is quick off the stop. There just are not that many places where Sprinters can be serviced. On a couple of occasions over the years, we had to drive several hundred miles out of our way to get the necessary service on the road for our Sprinters.

The toilet room serves as the front wall, so with the exception of the occasional trip to the kitchen a couple feet farther forward, campers can essentially hunker down in this rear space for days on end. From an affordability standpoint, we also checked with our insurance company and their quotes were significantly less expensive than insuring our car. Another benefit of using one of Leisure Travel Vans as your mobile office is that many of the costs of ownership are tax-deductible.

There’s also an optional exterior table that allows passengers to dine on the Unity kitchen-made meals outside of the van. The van has a width of seven feet, 11 inches, and a height of 10 feet, 6 inches including the air conditioning unit. The Unity has six possible floor plans ranging in price from $138,460 and $146,065. Scenes can also be automated to run at specific times throughout the day. Intelligent predictive monitoring provides a forecasted view of the system’s usage indicating when critical resources are reaching their limits. For the connected user, the system can be controlled remotely from a smartphone or tablet. The 2020 Unity by Leisure Travel Vans infuses a luxurious vibe into a versatile Class B van.
